Swangz Avenue is a Ugandan record label, production house and creative agency based in Kampala, founded in 2008 by the producer Benon Mugumbya and later joined by Julius Kyazze on the business side. It grew from a small home studio into one of East Africa’s larger music and marketing operations.
The company is independent and founder-owned. Its work spans recording and audio production, film and commercial production, artist management, music publishing and event promotion. Its roster has included Irene Ntale, Vinka, Winnie Nwagi and Azawi.
It is one of the anchor companies of Uganda’s contemporary music industry, notable for pairing an in-house studio with management and marketing under one roof.
