Sintonia Publishing

Sintonia Publishing is a music publisher based in Luanda, Angola, operating from Talatona. It describes itself as the exclusive representative in Angola of the Sheer Publishing and Warner Chappell catalogues, and says it holds more than 60 per cent of the share of national and international repertoire used inside Angola, a figure stated on its own materials and not independently verified.

It signs Angolan songwriters directly, among them gospel artist Nair Nany, and represents international publishers’ catalogues for exploitation inside Angola (performance, sync, adaptation, broadcast), while a reciprocal arrangement puts its own Angolan catalogue into Sheer Publishing Africa’s hands for representation outside Angola.

It matters as one of very few named, sourced entry points into Angola’s formal music-publishing market, a market this desk has not otherwise covered.
