Select Play, also styled Select Play Music, is a South African record label and production imprint based in Johannesburg. Artists released through it include Tellaman, Lastee, Crowned Yung and Killamo.
The imprint is closely identified with the Durban-born artist Tellaman (Thelumusa Samuel Owen), who is variously described in coverage as its founder and as an associated artist. The precise ownership has not been established from a registry document or a company statement, and no parent company or outside investor has been reported.
It operates in the South African market. The domain selectplaymusic.co.za is registered and is cited on the label’s own Facebook page, but it has never been built out and serves only a placeholder, leaving Facebook as the label’s working channel.
