Mo’ Hits Records was a Lagos record label founded on 12 May 2006 by producer Don Jazzy (Michael Collins Ajereh) and artist D’banj (Oladapo Oyebanjo), who had already been working together since 2004. Corporate Affairs Commission records show the pair held equal 50/50 ownership, 30,000 shares each.
The label’s roster included D’banj, Wande Coal, Dr SID, D’Prince and K-Switch. It ceased operating after Don Jazzy and D’banj split in March 2012; Don Jazzy went on to found Mavin Records and D’banj founded DB Records. Mo’ Hits Records is defunct and has been since the split.
The label’s original site, mohitsrecords.com, no longer resolves. A separate domain presenting itself as the label’s home has not been verified as connected to either founder and is not used as a source here.
