Maison Capital is a fund management firm established in 2004 that invests in growth-stage companies in the consumption and technology sectors. In its own description, issued alongside the Boomplay funding announcement, the firm names Dajiang Innovation (DJI) and Transsion Holdings among its past investment cases.

In April 2019, Maison Capital led a 20 million dollar Series A funding round in Boomplay, the Africa-focused music and video streaming service owned by Transsnet, the joint venture between Transsion Holdings and NetEase. Tony Li, the firm’s Managing Director, represented Maison Capital in the announcement, framing the investment around Africa’s young demographics and Boomplay’s early lead in the market.
