JTON Music is a record label, artist-management and touring operation founded and run by Joy Tongo, trading in Nigeria as JTON Entertainment Limited. Lagos State High Court filings name JTON Entertainment Limited as the party to the label’s 2025 contract dispute with singer Qing Madi, its most prominent former signee. The wider group, JTON Productions Inc, was incorporated in the United States in 2006 and lists corporate headquarters in New York; its own site describes the business as bridging African artists to North American and European markets.
Ownership is privately held by Tongo, who describes herself as US-born with Nigerian roots. No outside investor or major-label ownership stake has surfaced in reporting. The label’s current signed roster is entirely Nigerian: Qing Madi, before her 2026 departure, and rapper Zhus JDO. JTON has said it holds recording and distribution agreements with Sony Music and Bu Vision.
The Qing Madi dispute, over a contract she signed as a minor, is JTON’s most significant public moment to date, drawing coverage from Nigerian entertainment press and triggering a Spotify takedown of her post-departure EP. The case remains before the Lagos court as of this record.
