The line on “ANOTHER DAY” (2 November 2023) and on the album “HEARTBREAK HOTEL” (15 March 2024) reads “℗ 2023 South Africa - Sony Music Entertainment Africa (Pty) Ltd, under exclusive licence from Devo Entity Holdings (Pty) Ltd”, with the year updating to 2024 on the album.
A shorter form of the name, “DEVO ENTITY”, with no “Holdings” and no company suffix, carries the phonogram credit directly on four earlier self-released records by the same artist: “Aries: A Precursor to Heartbreak Hotel” (19 November 2021), “Bigger Than Us” (4 February 2022), “Sharpshooter” (5 August 2022), “Home Run” (16 September 2022) and “Better Late Than Never” (18 November 2022). Deezer’s label field on the 2022 releases also reads “DEVO ENTITY”. Whether the short form and the registered “(Pty) Ltd” form denote the same legal person is not established by any document reviewed.
