The Copyright Society of Tanzania (COSOTA) is Tanzania’s statutory copyright body, based in Dar es Salaam and operating under the country’s copyright law. It administers the registration of works and the collective management of copyright and related rights, including the collection and distribution of royalties to music rights holders.

As a government-established office it combines a regulatory and registry role with collective-licensing functions for Tanzanian creators.
