Copyright Society of Malawi

The Copyright Society of Malawi (COSOMA) is a parastatal body based in Lilongwe, established in 1992 following Malawi’s Copyright Act of 1989. It administers copyright and collective management for authors, composers, performers, producers and broadcasters in Malawi.
It both regulates copyright and operates as a collecting society, licensing music and other protected works and distributing royalties to rights holders.
