The Copyright Society of Botswana (COSBOTS) is Botswana’s collective management organisation for copyright and neighbouring rights, based in Gaborone. It was registered in 2008 as a company limited by guarantee and operates under the country’s Copyright and Neighbouring Rights Act.
COSBOTS licenses users of protected works, and collects and distributes royalties to rights owners, including composers, authors and publishers of music in Botswana.
