The phonographic line on the single “Mental”, dated 18 September 2026 and featuring Fave, reads “℗ 2026 2baba / Yankee Entertainment Under Exclusive license to CiDAR Africa”. The Deezer label field on the same product reads CiDAR Africa, against UPC 787960332425.
On its own website the company describes itself as “a Music Management and Marketing Agency focused on driving music consumption through Data, Technology & Media”. Its stated service lines are music distribution to more than 100 platforms, music marketing and monetisation, editorial playlist pitching, booking and tours, music publishing, and digital email and influencer work. The site carries 2Baba and Fave among the artists whose releases it features, alongside Phyno, Seyi Vibez and 1da Banton.
An exclusive licence is not an assignment. On the credit as written, CiDAR Africa has the right to exploit the recording for a term, in a territory, on terms agreed between the parties, while the named owners keep the copyright. Neither the term, the territory, the royalty rate, any advance nor any option is disclosed on the release or in any source fetched for this profile.
CiDAR Africa also appears in a different credit structure on the single “Ifesinachi”, dated 27 March 2026, where the line reads “℗ 2026 S2DB Entertainment | DAW EMPIRE | CiDAR Africa”. That is three names separated by pipes with no licence wording, which does not say which of the three owns the recording and which services it. The two credits are not consistent with each other and no source explains the difference.
