Black Boy Joy is the phonogram credit holder named on Ghanaian singer KiDi’s recorded output from February 2026 onward. Apple and Deezer catalogue metadata for all three of his 2026 releases reads “Black Boy Joy, under exclusive global license to Encore Recordings”, a wording that places the master rights with Black Boy Joy and grants Encore an exclusive worldwide licence rather than transferring ownership.
Beyond that credit line, very little about the entity could be established. No corporate registration under this name was located in any registry with a public search tool. KiDi has referred on Ghanaian broadcast to running a label he calls “BB Joy”, named for his mother, but no source checked reconciles that shorthand with the registered or trading name on the credit line, and no document confirms he owns or controls the entity.
