Arms Production Music Limited

Based in
Quorn, Loughborough, Leicestershire (registered office, 3 Long Close, LE12 8TS), United Kingdom
Founded
2021 (company incorporated 9 April 2021). The brand and catalogue were trading under this name no later than 6 February 2019, more than two years before the limited company existed, so the incorporation date is not the founding date of the library.

Arms Production Music is a boutique British production music library that commissions original compositions and licenses them for film, television, advertising and digital media. It markets its catalogue as entirely human-made, and its publishing partner has described the music as “handmade by a small team of composers, with the warmth, edge and individuality your project deserves, even using tape”.

The corporate vehicle, Arms Production Music Limited, was incorporated in England and Wales on 9 April 2021 under company number 13324311 and is registered at an address in Quorn, Leicestershire, under SIC code 59200, sound recording and music publishing activities. UK Companies House records one director and one person with significant control: the library’s founder, John Robert Meredith, who holds 75% or more of both the shares and the voting rights and the right to appoint and remove directors. No corporate shareholder appears on the register.

The library runs a multi-territory representation model rather than its own international offices. ROBA Production Music was announced in February 2019 as representing the entire catalogue in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and Downtown Music Publishing Africa was announced in February 2026 as representing it through that company’s services and network.

It matters to this publication as the counterparty in a deal pattern that is becoming common: a small foreign rights holder routing a catalogue into African sync, broadcast and advertising markets through an African publisher, without opening an office, hiring locally or giving up any ownership.

Who owns what, who got paid, and who is about to. The business behind African music, told like it is actually interesting (because it is).

  • The deals and catalogue sales nobody put out a press release for
  • Chart moves and streaming numbers we actually fact-checked (wild, we know)
  • Fresh names added to the directory, vetted before you ever see them
