Warner Chappell Music, Warner Music Group
Amount

Rights covered
Music publishing only. The announcement states that MOLIY "has signed a global publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music, the music publishing arm of Warner Music Group, covering her catalogue and future works". That is the whole grant on its face.

It says nothing about master recordings, nothing about live, nothing about merchandising and nothing about neighbouring rights. Whether Warner Chappell administers the compositions or has taken a share of copyright in them is not stated: the words "administration", "co-publishing" and "assignment" do not appear in the announcement, and no rights registry entry confirming the publisher of record on any MOLIY work was obtainable for this record (see caveat).

WHAT THE DEAL DOES NOT TOUCH, ESTABLISHED SEPARATELY. The recorded-music side sits elsewhere and is documented by phonogram credits read directly on Apple Music on 4 September 2026:

– Pre-2024 catalogue: "(P) 2020 Platinum Vision Lab" (Wondergirl EP), "(P) 2021 Platinum Vision Lab" (Deja Vu), "(P) 2021 Platinum Vision Lab / Moliy" (Love Doc), "(P) 2022 Platinum Vision Labs" (The Place; Hard), "(P) 2022 Platinum Vision Lab" (Honey Doom EP), and "(P) 2022 MOLIY" (Mahogany St).
– From December 2024: "(P) 2024 gamma." on Shake It To The Max (FLY), 3 December 2024, and "(P) 2025 gamma." on every subsequent remix in that campaign checked, through "(P) 2025 gamma." on BODY GO with Tyla (17 October 2025) and BACKIE (26 December 2025), "(P) 2026 Bamboo Artists & gamma." on PARTYGYAL (27 February 2026), "(P) 2026 gamma." on JETSKI (FRIKI) (19 June 2026) and "(P) 2026 gamma." on the mixtape BADDIES <3 MOLIY (31 July 2026).
– A separate artist-services vehicle: the 30 May 2024 Sneakbo single "When I Wake Up (feat. Moliy)" carries the credit string "(P) 2024 Line Moliy appears courtesy of Wondergirl LLC Delaware 651, N broad St Suite 201 Middletown 19709 (USA) Sneakbo, Sentric Publishing". "Appears courtesy of" is the standard credit where an artist's exclusive recording services are licensed out by a company.

Territory
Global. The announcement uses the phrase "a global publishing deal" and no carve-out, reserved territory or excluded society is named anywhere in it. No sub-publishing arrangement, and no African collecting society, is identified in any source checked.

Warner Chappell Music's signing announcement, dated 29 August 2025, carried in full in an industry press-release archive and read directly on 4 September 2026. It names the parties, states the scope ("covering her catalogue and future works") and carries on-the-record quotes from MOLIY, her manager Therese Jones, Anthony Iban and Shani Gonzales of Warner Chappell Music. Read this before citing: ESTABLISHED. The signing itself, its scope ("her catalogue and future works") and its global reach are on the face of a press release issued in Warner Chappell Music's own name and carrying on-the-record quotes from three named people: MOLIY, her manager Therese Jones, and Anthony Iban, Senior Manager, A&R and Partnerships at Warner Chappell Music, plus a closing quote from Shani Gonzales, Managing Director of Warner Chappell Music UK and Head of International A&R. Amber Davis, SVP and Head of A&R at Warner Chappell Music UK, is named in the body. No party disputes it.

DATE, MINOR CONFLICT. The press release archive entry read for this record is dated 29 August 2025. A subscription trade report of the same signing carries the previous day, 28 August 2025. That page sits behind a login wall and could not be read directly from this server, so the earlier date is recorded as an unverified mention and 29 August 2025 is used as the announced date.

NOT DISCLOSED. No advance, no royalty split, no term, no option structure and no reversion date appears in the announcement or in anything else this desk reached. "Not disclosed" is the accurate answer, not an omission in this record.

ADMINISTERS OR OWNS: NOT ESTABLISHED. The announcement does not say whether Warner Chappell administers MOLIY's compositions or has acquired a share of the copyright in them. This desk attempted three rights registries to settle it and reached none of them: the ASCAP repertory search endpoint returned HTTP 403 to an automated request, the BMI repertoire endpoint returned a redirect loop, and the Mechanical Licensing Collective public work-search host did not resolve from this server. No publisher of record for any MOLIY composition is therefore claimed here.

MASTERS: gamma. IS THE CLAIMANT, THE AGREEMENT IS UNANNOUNCED. gamma.'s phonogram credit runs across MOLIY's entire commercial output as a lead artist from 3 December 2024 to 31 July 2026, the most recent release checked. gamma.'s own website, read on 4 September 2026, names MOLIY twice: as an artist "trending on billboard", and with "shake it to the max (fly) remix / moliy" listed among its releases. What this desk could not find, on gamma.'s site, on Warner Chappell's site or in any trade report located, is an announcement of the gamma. agreement itself. Its type is therefore unknown: a label deal, a distribution deal, a licence and a joint venture would all produce the credit line observed, and they are different legal relationships with different consequences for who owns the recording.

REGISTRY CONTRADICTION, UNRESOLVED. Two sources disagree on the label of the record that made MOLIY a global act. Apple's phonogram line for "Shake It To The Max (FLY) [Remix]", released 21 February 2025, reads "(P) 2025 gamma.". The rights registry MusicBrainz records the label on the same release, across both of its entries for it, as WONDERGIRL LLC. This record does not resolve the conflict and does not treat either source as settled. MusicBrainz is community-edited; Apple's line is supplied by the delivering rights holder. Both can be wrong and only one can be right.

WONDERGIRL LLC: NOT VERIFIED AS A LEGAL ENTITY. The Delaware incorporation and the Middletown address come from a DSP credit string, not from a filing. Delaware's state entity search is not reachable as an open interface from this server and the open company-data mirror refused the request without an API key. No director, officer or shareholder of Wondergirl LLC has been established.

PLATINUM VISION LAB: OWNERSHIP AND CURRENT STATUS NOT ESTABLISHED. No corporate record, website or statement was located for the company claiming MOLIY's pre-2024 phonogram copyright. An open-web mention indicates a public disagreement between the company and the artist during 2023; it was not corroborated against any document and no finding is made on it. Whether the pre-2024 recordings fall inside the "catalogue" the Warner Chappell deal covers on the publishing side, and who claims the recordings, are separate questions with separate answers.

Warner Chappell Music signed the Ghanaian singer-songwriter MOLIY to a global publishing deal announced on 29 August 2025, covering her catalogue and her future works. The grant is songwriting. No consideration was disclosed, no term was stated and no split was published. Her recorded music is claimed by a different company: every lead release from December 2024 onwards carries the phonogram line of gamma., under an agreement that neither gamma. nor MOLIY has ever announced.
