American singer, songwriter and actress Dolly Parton has died at the age of 80.
Her nephew and security chief, Bryan Seever, confirmed the death in a video posted to Parton’s official social media accounts on Tuesday.
Parton recorded global hits including “Jolene” and “I Will Always Love You” during a decades-long career in American country music.
Seever said Parton wanted the phrase “I Will Always Love You” to be used as her final farewell.
