Influence Media Partners has completed its acquisition of publishing catalogues, recordings and film and television publishing assets owned by Anthem Entertainment. The deal is valued at more than $600m.
The purchase covers “substantially all” of Anthem’s assets, including:
- More than 24,000 released songs
- “60,000 additional unexploited works”
- Hits recorded by The Weeknd, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and Rush
Influence Media Partners completed the transaction with help from what it describes as a “collaboration with funds and accounts managed by BlackRock“. BlackRock has also been a backer of the company throughout its growth.
The acquisition is a major increase in scale and complexity for Influence Media Partners. In early 2025, the company secured $360m of new debt financing to support its acquisitive growth.
A recent estimate put the catalogue’s net publisher’s share (NPS) and net label share (NLS) at around $45m to $50m a year. With the deal complete, Influence Media Partners plans to focus on growing those revenues.
