WAW MUZIK

French-registered (Paris SAS) music streaming app operating in Cote d'Ivoire, relaunched in 2021 with Tuned Global's backend and Orange Cote d'Ivoire billing.

Based in
Paris (registered office); Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire (consumer operations), France
Founded
5 January 2017 (company registration, per the French government's official recherche-entreprises API, fetched 6 November 2026). The consumer app pre-launched in July 2020 and held its official public launch event in Abidjan on 28 June 2022; those are product dates, not the company's incorporation date, and should not be conflated with it.
Founders
Jean-Philippe Audoli, named President and publication director in the company's own website legal notice.

WAW MUZIK is a mobile music streaming service operating in Cote d’Ivoire, presented in trade and local coverage as a West African alternative to international streaming platforms. Its legal registered entity, however, is French, not Ivorian: WAW MUZIK is a societe par actions simplifiee (SAS) with its registered office at 7 rue du Bois de Boulogne, Paris, registered under SIREN 825088180 with the Paris commercial court (RCS Paris). France’s official business registry (INSEE/INPI, via the government’s recherche-entreprises API) records the company’s creation date as 5 January 2017 and its principal activity under NAF code 58.29A, software publishing, not a media or entertainment code. The registry’s most recent disclosed financial figures, for 2020, show revenue of 135,000 euros against a net loss of 430,004 euros.

Jean-Philippe Audoli, a French violinist also linked to the Maison des Musiques d’Afrique et du Monde, is named in WAW MUZIK’s own website legal notice as its President and publication director. The same legal notice states the company’s share capital as 54,356 euros; third-party business-data aggregators (not fetched directly by this desk and not relied on for any claim here) show different, higher figures for the same company in different years, a discrepancy this record does not attempt to resolve beyond noting that the company’s own stated figure is used wherever this desk cites a capital amount.

The consumer product operates from Abidjan. It pre-launched in July 2020, entered roughly twelve months of technical testing, and was offered to Orange Cote d’Ivoire subscribers from August 2021 before a wider relaunch, supported by the Australian B2B streaming-technology firm Tuned Global, was announced in November 2021. The service’s official public launch event took place in Abidjan on 28 June 2022. By that point coverage described the app as reachable through MTN and Moov in addition to Orange, meaning the Orange relationship documented in the November 2021 announcement was not, or did not remain, exclusive.
