Teejay Mokoena, a South African hip-hop artist, songwriter, executive producer and entrepreneur, has released his new single, ‘NO MISTAKE’, after months of teasing. The track follows the personal release ‘WISHES’ and the collaborative song ‘Chosen Milano’.
The single has a South African summer feel, pairing a high-energy pulse with a dance-oriented arrangement. Its creative inspiration comes from the golden era of SABC 1’s dance show Jika Ma Jika, a programme of the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC), and its nostalgic energy, movement and localised street culture.

The release showcases Mokoena‘s lyrical ability, flow and delivery. The chorus is built to appeal to South Africa’s wider population while remaining rooted in hip-hop.
