South Korea’s Samsung Developing Galaxy H1 Over-Ear Headphones

South Korea’s Samsung is developing a pair of over-ear headphones, according to new icons found in the company’s Galaxy Wearable app.
The icons show an over-ear design rather than the in-ear earbuds Samsung currently sells. Beyond Bluetooth connectivity, no other specifications are visible in the app. The headphones carry the internal name Galaxy H1, a label that may change before launch.
The H1 name is also used by Apple for the audio chips inside its AirPods and AirPods Max. If Samsung is targeting Apple’s premium over-ear headphones, the internal name could signal that intent.
A launch is expected in 2027, possibly around the announcement of the Galaxy S27. The timing may also draw attention away from the Galaxy S27’s expected reduction in camera capability.
