Local-first workspace brings agent proposals, human approvals, and reviewed publishing together as Intersignal prioritizes user growth and developer relationships.
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Intersignal today announced its vision for Braid 2.0, now available in preview: a shared workspace where people can converse with local AI, review proposals from compatible AI clients, and decide which work becomes shared context or a public publication.
Braid 2.0 builds agent participation into the workspace through optional Model Context Protocol (MCP) connections and a human approval Inbox. Its guiding principle is straightforward: AI can contribute work, while people control permissions, handoffs, and publication.
“We see the success of Grok Bot, Cursor, and Codex, alongside local agent systems such as OpenClaw,” Intersignal’s David Seaman said. “A shared inbox for humans, local AI agents, and cloud AI planners is where things are headed, and Braid paves the way.”
As people bring multiple AI tools into their working lives, useful context can become scattered across conversations, computers, and services. Braid’s approach centers on a familiar interaction: work arrives, its source is visible, and a person chooses what happens next.
The Braid 2.0 preview introduces scoped MCP connections through which authorized clients can submit proposed notes and handoffs for review. Access is explicitly granted, limited to permitted operations and context, and revocable.
The broader vision is a common place to receive and review contributions from local agents and cloud-based planners. Compatibility is being qualified client by client; references to other AI products describe that ecosystem and do not announce partnerships or universal integration support.
Intersignal develops Braid, a local-first, human-directed AI workspace combining local conversation, project context, approved sharing, and reviewed publishing – with thousands of devoted users already. Its vision for Braid 2.0 is a shared workspace where humans and AI agents can contribute useful work under clear human control.
