Timzy Survival, an Afrobeats artist from Nigeria, has released the single ‘Felony’ as the opening track of his forthcoming EP ‘Survival’.
Nigerian Afrobeats artist Timzy Survival has released a new single, ‘Felony’, the opening track from his forthcoming five-track EP ‘Survival’.
Timzy Survival, who is based in Ibadan, Nigeria, wrote and recorded the song himself. The project draws on his personal history, including surviving a near-fatal shooting, and channels themes of perseverance, struggle, and hope.
Growing up between Lagos and Ibadan, Timzy turned to music as a way to process difficult experiences. After the shooting, he adopted the name Survival to reflect his resilience. ‘Felony’ introduces the EP’s narrative, which explores the setbacks and emotions that have shaped his journey.
Timzy Survival began building his catalogue in 2022 with the release of ‘Gratitude’. He has since put out several other tracks, including ‘Therapy’, ‘Somori’, ‘Non Stop’, and ‘Preacher’.
