Tyla and Tems Earn 2026 Soul Train Awards Nominations

South African singer Tyla and Nigerian singer Tems have been nominated for fan-voted categories at the 2026 Soul Train Awards.

Grammy-winning South African singer Tyla and Nigerian singer Tems have each received nominations for the 2026 Soul Train Awards, in newly announced fan-voted categories.

Tyla’s single “Chanel” is nominated for R&B/Soul Song of the Year, alongside Bruno Mars, Chris Brown & Bryson Tiller, Kehlani and Tems.

Tems has two nominations and is the only artist shortlisted in both newly introduced fan-voted categories. Her song “What You Need” is also nominated for R&B/Soul Song of the Year. She is additionally nominated for Spotify’s RNB X International Artist. The other nominees in that category are:

  • Odeal
  • PARTYNEXTDOOR
  • Tiana Major9

The 2026 Soul Train Awards will air on BET and CBS on November 27 at 8 PM ET/PT. Fan voting closes on October 16.
