Warner Music Group’s ADA Central Europe has signed an exclusive worldwide digital distribution agreement with Swiss label Sound Distribution, the companies announced Monday (October 5). Under the deal, ADA will handle global digital distribution for the label’s roster.
The agreement marks Sound Distribution’s move “from a DJ format to an independent record label,” according to Managing Director and Co-Founder Luca Di Marco.
Partnership structure#
Sound Distribution’s strategic partnership with management and entertainment company Electric Feel is “a central pillar of the deal,” the announcement said. ADA said the Electric Feel partnership gives Sound Distribution access to an international network of artists, producers, and songwriters, and is intended to lead to cross-border collaborations.
Electric Feel Publishing Managing Director Niels Eberhardt and Electric Feel Publishing Europe Creative Coordinator Marie-Michelle Hegeholz appeared alongside executives from Warner Music Group and Sound Distribution in a photo issued with the news. Sound Distribution’s co-founders also include Audio Director Frederic Steeger and Operations Director Laetitia Keilbach, according to the photo caption.
The announcement describes Sound Distribution as a music label and “visual production engine” that operates under the philosophy of “More than a release.” “Rather than simply uploading a song, Sound Distribution builds an entire atmosphere and identity around every release,” it added.
Sound Distribution’s in-house studio produces:
- music videos
- visualizers
- editorial monologues
- cover shoots
- live DJ set integrations
That content is “designed to drive short-form virality and organic creator adoption,” according to ADA. The announcement credits Sound Distribution with more than 239 million total views on TikTok and says the label has also built audiences on Instagram and YouTube.
The partnership kicked off on Friday (October 2) with the debut single from Inéz and Pacoussa.
Executive comment#
“Sound Distribution’s holistic, content-driven approach is forward thinking, and we couldn’t be happier to partner with them. We firmly believe in the global potential of their artist roster and unique setup. Together with ADA’s international infrastructure, we’re setting a new standard for modern music distribution.”
That comment came from Felix Brouwer, Director, ADA Germany.
“Having Warner Music Germany by our side right from the start is an incredible vote of confidence in our team and our vision, giving our releases a strong, professional structure from day one. We are thrilled about this collaboration and look forward to taking the next steps together.”
That statement was attributed to Di Marco.
ADA Central Europe’s recent moves#
ADA Central Europe is the distribution and label services arm of Warner Music Central Europe. In July, it signed an exclusive distribution partnership with Berlin, Germany-based independent label AIM Music, covering global distribution, streaming strategy, and marketing.
The following week, Warner Music Group expanded ADA across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), appointing Howard Corner to the newly created role of Head of ADA, EMEA. Warner Music’s local territory heads across the region continue to run their domestic ADA operations, working alongside Corner.
In August, ADA Central Europe and Warner Music Austria struck a distribution and studio deal with Vienna, Austria-based label, publisher, and studio Tonherd.
Switzerland is one of six countries within Warner Music Central Europe. Warner Music Group expanded the region in October 2025, combining its recorded music businesses in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria with those in Benelux. The company said at the time that the six markets together formed the world’s third-largest recorded music market, after the US and Japan, based on IFPI (International Federation of the Phonographic Industry) trade revenue figures.
Electric Feel background#
Electric Feel was founded in 2013 by Austin Rosen. In November 2020, Universal Music Publishing Group signed an exclusive worldwide publishing deal with Electric Feel Entertainment to launch Electric Feel Publishing Europe.
The European publishing venture’s first signings included German rap producers:
- Minor2Go
- Palazzo
- Jumpa
UMPG noted that Electric Feel had discovered and developed artists, producers, and songwriters including Post Malone, Travis Scott, and Louis Bell.
