1:55 African Music Ltd, known publicly as 1:55 AM, is a Rwandan record label and artist management company founded and led by Gael Karomba, known as “Coach Gael.” Rwandan press places the label active from at least 2022, when Bruce Melodie joined after leaving the Tanzanian label Cloud9 Entertainment; no source checked states an exact founding date. Karomba has managed Bruce Melodie’s international touring, brand partnerships and recording career since, including the 2023 collaboration with Shaggy that brought S-Curve Records into the picture: S-Curve’s own press release states that Greenberg’s team “contacted his team 1:55 AM Ltd” to arrange it, describing 1:55 AM, not S-Curve, as Bruce Melodie’s primary representation throughout that period.

Its roster includes Bruce Melodie, producer Element (also known as Eleeh) and Kenny Sol; Ross Khana was previously signed and has since departed, per Rwandan outlets. Bruce Melodie’s solo catalogue has carried a 1:55 African Music Ltd or 1:55 AM phonographic credit on releases from July 2025 onward, per Apple’s and Deezer’s own catalogue metadata, following a 15-month period in which his releases instead credited S-Curve Records.

Ownership: independently founded and led by Gael Karomba. No source checked names an outside investor or corporate parent.
