Black Major is a South African company that describes itself on its own site as “an accomplished, thoroughly professional music agency, rooted in African context”, with founder and chief executive Sevi Spanoudi. It also produces music-related film content, including the documentary “Future Sound of Mzansi”.
Black Major is named as the phonogram owner on one Sho Madjozi release, the single “Kadigong” featuring Gemini Major and Ntando Yamahlubi, issued 4 October 2024. Deezer independently records the label on that release as “Black Major”. The credit does not appear on any other Sho Madjozi release, and the remix of the same song, issued 27 February 2025, carries a different phonogram credit.
Black Major’s own Artists page, read on 30 September 2026, lists The Joy, Bongeziwe Mabandla, DJ LAG, Radio Sechaba, Bokani Dyer, Dear Ribane, Manthe Ribane, KDOLLAHZ and BCUC. It does not list Sho Madjozi.
