It appears in Apple Music catalogue metadata from 5 June 2026, in the form “YVK Records/ Universal Music (Pty) Ltd”, and this desk has located it in no other document.
Nothing establishes that YVK Records is a registered company. No incorporation number, registration date, director, shareholder or registered address was located. South Africa’s CIPC register has no public company-search API, and no filing, announcement or statement from any party names the imprint.
The name is absent from the announcements of Masterpiece YVK’s May 2026 signing to Universal Music South Africa, from every trade report of that signing read by this desk, from the MusicBrainz label registry, and from Deezer’s label field for the same releases, which reads “Universal Music (Pty) Ltd.” alone.
