Company focus#
Verdera Energy Corp. is focused on developing In-Situ Recovery (ISR) uranium assets in New Mexico. The company says it holds the largest land position in a prolific uranium district and the largest uranium endowment among U.S.-focused public uranium exploration companies.
Its private mineral rights span approximately 400 square miles, with 88 million pounds of known and historic resources and a proprietary uranium database. Verdera said New Mexico is positioned as a critical district in the U.S. domestic nuclear sector as efforts continue to reduce reliance on foreign imports. The company also said it is committed to fostering strong community relations and working closely with local communities.
Executive comment#
“Closing the Treeline sale shows the value embedded in our New Mexico database beyond our core properties. We have turned a non-core exploration asset into cash, an equity position in an active explorer and a retained royalty, which keeps Verdera shareholders exposed to any success at Treeline at no further cost to the Company. It also allows our team and our capital to stay focused on advancing our four large-scale ISR uranium properties.”
Janet Lee-Sheriff, chief executive officer of Verdera, made the statement.
The company noted that forward-looking statements in its announcement are subject to risks, including the possibility that the remaining share consideration may not be received when expected or at all, that the value of Americas Uranium shares may fluctuate, that the royalty may not generate future payments or value, and that market, regulatory, operational or commodity-price conditions may change. The company does not undertake to update forward-looking information except as required by applicable securities laws.
