The Hashgraph Group (THG), a Switzerland-based Web3 and artificial intelligence (AI) technology engineering company, has validated and listed its IDTrust self-sovereign identity platform on the IBM Cloud Catalog and signed a global Embedded Solution Agreement with IBM covering cloud and AI technology.
The listing makes IDTrust one of the first commercial Hedera-powered enterprise applications available as a software as a service (SaaS) product through a major cloud marketplace, placing verifiable AI agent identity infrastructure in front of IBM’s global enterprise client base.
IBM Cloud Catalog and partner status#
THG has qualified for IBM Silver Partner status after meeting technical certification standards and demonstrating expertise in enterprise-grade solutions. The status gives THG access to technology solutions and resources from IBM teams.
The global Embedded Solution Agreement (ESA) allows technology partners to integrate IBM technology into their own products and sell a complete, single-branded solution.

Identity infrastructure for AI agents#
IDTrust is a decentralised self-sovereign identity platform with enterprise-grade cryptography for AI agents, devices, and humans. It is already deployed with a European telecoms operator to power verified caller identity.
As autonomous AI agents negotiate contracts, process transactions, and execute workflows for organisations, enterprises are asking how to verify that an agent is who it claims to be and is authorised to act. Gartner projects that 40% of enterprise applications will embed task-specific AI agents by the end of 2026, up from less than 5% in 2025. In June, Akamai launched an agent verification framework with Visa and Experian as partners.
“Know Your Agent” (KYA) is moving from a theoretical concern to an enterprise priority, and THG’s IBM Cloud Catalog listing places IDTrust within IBM’s global enterprise technology ecosystem.

How IDTrust works#
IDTrust is a secured Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) platform that provides AI agents, devices, and humans with decentralised identifiers (DIDs) and verifiable credentials (VCs). Built on open World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) standards and designed to support the European Union eIDAS 2.0 framework, every credential is cryptographically signed, tamper-evident, and verifiable without needing a central authority, with a clear path to post-quantum security as the standards mature.
The platform includes Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers that allow AI agents connected to IBM watsonx Orchestrate to obtain their own identity credentials, designed to help make every authorisation and action taken by an AI agent auditable. Each credential is anchored on Hedera’s distributed ledger, creating a permanent, tamper-evident record of an agent’s identity and permissions over time.
Recent enterprise deployments#
The IBM partnership follows a series of enterprise milestones for THG over the past 12 months.
- Merck Group: THG partnered on European Union Digital Product Passports (DPP), using its TrackTrace platform to integrate with Merck’s M-Trust physical authentication technology system, offering a single system that bridges physical and digital worlds for proof of quality, traceability, authenticity, and value transfer.
- PwC: THG partnered in carbon markets with its EcoGuard platform, which provides digital carbon market infrastructure for compliant issuance, trading, and retirement of high-integrity carbon credits.
- Teleport: A collaboration announced in April with the eCommerce logistics specialist, which operates the largest air network in Southeast Asia, to build an AI-driven Digital Customs Documentation System (DCDS) for cross-border e-commerce trade in Southeast Asia.
Across these deployments, THG’s Hashgraph for Enterprise (H4E) product suite has been used, spanning regulated supply chains, environmental compliance, cross-border logistics, and agentic AI verifiable identity.
Hedera distribution milestone#
For Hedera Hashgraph, the IBM marketplace listing is a distribution milestone. IBM has been a member of the Hedera Governing Council since 2019.
