Kings Music Records is a Tanzanian record label founded and owned by the Bongo Flava artist Ally Saleh Kiba, known as Alikiba. A contemporaneous trade report named him “the founder of Kings Music Record Label” at the time he signed to Sony Music Entertainment Africa in May 2016. Phonogram credits on his releases carry the label’s name, in several spellings, both before that Sony deal (2009 to 2016) and again after it ended, from late 2019.
The label is independent: no corporate registry filing has been located, and Tanzania has no public company-search database comparable to the UK register or SEC EDGAR, so its legal ownership structure cannot be independently confirmed beyond Alikiba’s own public claim to have founded it. Its roster is built around Alikiba himself, alongside Tommy Flavour, K2ga, AbduKiba and Vanillah. It has no standalone website; its public presence is a Facebook page and a YouTube channel run out of Dar es Salaam.
