92i Africa
A joint-venture African label division launched by French rapper Booba's Tallac Records/92i with Universal Music Africa in 2021, now reported largely inactive.

92i Africa is a label division launched on 13 July 2021 as a joint venture between French rapper Booba’s Tallac Records/92i and Universal Music Africa, in partnership with Universal Music France. The venture was based at Universal Music Africa’s Abidjan headquarters and covered 25 French-, Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking African countries, making Booba’s ten-album catalogue available across the continent for the first time.
92i Africa is not independently owned: it is a division of Booba’s Tallac Records/92i operation, run in partnership with Universal Music Africa and Universal Music France. At launch it signed Ivorian rapper Didi B and DopeBoy DMG, and later worked with the Ivorian artist JOLIE. It has no standalone company website; its public presence is limited to Instagram and X.
Trade coverage since 2023 has suggested the label is largely inactive, with Didi B’s departure from the venture and Booba himself saying in interviews that he has struggled to run the operation remotely from France.
