CashTime Life was a South African record label, music publishing and artist management company founded in Johannesburg in 2013 by rapper K.O (Ntokozo Mdluli), his former Teargas bandmate Ma-E (Motlatsi Mafatshe), and music executive Thabiso “Hip Hop Scholar” Khathi. It operated as the home of the CashTime Fam hip-hop collective, whose roster at various points included K.O, Ma-E, Maggz, Kid X, Smashis, AB Crazy, Ntukza, Moozlie and DJ Vigilante.
The label was independent and South African-owned, releasing and distributing its catalogue through Sony Music Africa during its active years. It wound down between 2017 and 2018 after key artists departed; K.O confirmed the label was no longer signing new artists in mid-2017 before going on to found his own successor venture, Skhanda World. The CashTime Fam catalogue was later made available again via streaming through separate distribution arrangements.
CashTime Life has no live corporate website; its former domain now resolves only to a parked placeholder page. Its remaining public presence is through Instagram and X, and its history is documented in South African music press coverage from the period.
