TS Records CC is a South African record label founded by Thembinkosi “TK” Nciza and Sibusiso “DJ Sbu” Leope. It is named as the rights holder on the phonogram credit lines of three albums by the singer Zahara (Bulelwa Mkutukana): Loliwe (2011), Phendula (2013) and Country Girl (2015). On the later two, the credit reads “TS Records CC under Exclusive License To Universal Music (Pty) Ltd (ZA)”, making TS Records the named owner and Universal Music the licensee, a different position from Loliwe’s joint CCP Records/TS Records line.
No company registry filing was located to confirm current ownership or status, and the company’s old domain, tsrecords.co.za, no longer resolves. It is recorded here as dormant rather than defunct: no source states the company has been deregistered, only that it has released nothing new since 2015. Its historical significance rests on Zahara’s catalogue, which has since been the subject of public royalty disputes reported in South African press.
