Nigerian artist FOLA has announced his sophomore album, “9”, set for October 9, in a social media post that links the title to football’s number-nine position.
He paired the number with the message: “Striker; the artist you call when you need a hit.”
The announcement follows a breakout 2026 for FOLA, highlighted by “treat u right” with Ayra Starr and his appearance on Davido and Mayorkun‘s “B4 B4.” “treat u right” also earned FOLA his second No. 1 on the Official Nigeria Top 100, following “Paparazzi” with Shoday.
Set for October 9, “9” builds on the momentum of “catharsis” while introducing a sharper, more confident FOLA.
