SOL Distro Marks One Year With Over R1 Million Paid Directly to Revenue-Generating Artists

SOL Distro, a music distribution platform based in South Africa, has marked its first year in operation with more than R1 million in South African rand paid directly to revenue-generating artists and a user base of over 1,000 artists.

Launched on 13 August 2025, the platform has built its services around transparency, accessible client service and greater artist control over music distribution.

Since launch, SOL Distro has grown to more than 1,000 users and paid over R1 million in royalties. The milestone reflects activity recorded during its first year.

SOL Distro has also maintained weekly engagement with DSPs (digital service providers), relationships that form part of its distribution work and artist services.

The platform remains independent as it enters its second year, having established a community of more than 1,000 artists and paid more than R1 million directly to revenue-generating artists.
