Nigerian artists Brite Benson, Davido, Burna Boy and Ayra Starr are among the nominees for the 2026 Galaxy Music Awards (GMA).
The awards body released its 2026 nomination list, which includes several categories with multiple nominees. The ALBUM OF THE YEAR category features both Odumodu Blvck and Blaqbones.
Brite Benson’s first GMA nomination#
Brite Benson received his first GMA nomination for the single ‘Hello’ in the GMA FANS CHOICE AWARD category tagged ‘SOCIAL MEDIA FAVES’. The song has recorded more than 3 million plays on streaming platforms.
Responding to the nomination, Brite Benson quoted lyrics from the song:
“Hello Hello How You dey Feel, Hello Hello How E Go Be”
He then laughed and said: “See you all at the GMAs.”
