Open Mic Productions (Pty) Ltd is a South African record label that owns and licenses master recordings. It holds the phonogram credit (the ℗ line) on Master KG’s global hit “Jerusalema” and its remixes, which it licensed on an exclusive basis to Warner Music France, and on Master KG’s catalogue releases from 2018 to November 2023.
Its roster, drawn from release credits and from a 2025 Gauteng High Court judgment rather than from any company statement, has included Master KG, Nomcebo Zikode (signed September 2018), Makhadzi, Prince Benza and Zanda Zakuza. The company was named as first respondent in Nkwanyana and Another v Open Mic Productions (Pty) Ltd and Another, where the court described it as “a record label company.” Molau Rammala and Lionel Jamela were named as its CEOs in an August 2020 trade report; no more recent leadership confirmation was found.
