Piano Hub is a South African amapiano record label founded and owned by producer and DJ Kabelo Motha, known professionally as Kabza De Small. It has released his solo catalogue since 2019, and its Sony Music Entertainment Africa distribution formula also appears on the Scorpion Kings series he makes with DJ Maphorisa, credited to New Money Gang Records.

Piano Hub is independent of Maphorisa, who runs his own imprint, Blaq Boy Music Corporation; the two producers’ labels were publicly distinguished by Maphorisa himself in September 2019 after a social-media dispute over credit. Apple Music catalogue metadata across 134 entries from 2019 to 2026 ties the label’s releases to distribution by Sony Music Entertainment Africa, with two later releases (Wishi Wishi, October 2024, and Kuyafana Mos, March 2026) crediting the arrangement as an exclusive license from Piano Hub rather than a standard distribution deal, though the underlying terms were not published.

South Africa’s companies registry, CIPC, does not offer a public search API, so Piano Hub’s incorporation date, shareholders and the precise terms of its Sony relationship could not be independently confirmed beyond what appears in catalogue credits.

Correction, 20 September 2026: This profile previously listed New Money Gang Records as an alias of Piano Hub. A separate deal record on this desk, examining DJ Maphorisa’s full phonogram-credit history, found New Money Gang Records carrying a sole copyright credit on releases dated August 2015 and January 2016, four years before Piano Hub’s own 2019 founding stated above. A label cannot be the alias of a company that did not yet exist. The alias claim has been withdrawn. What the record supports is narrower: the two names have shared the same Sony distribution formula on Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa’s collaborative releases since 2019, not common ownership, which no source fetched establishes.
