Jacquel Entertainment Group is an independent South African company founded and owned by Congolese-South African artist Tresor Riziki, built around his own recording arm, VII Recordings. It offers artist and producer management, recording, songwriting, production, publishing, events, branding and film and visual-arts services, and holds the master recordings to Tresor’s own catalogue.
In October 2024, Jacquel acquired the masters to Tresor’s first two albums, VII and The Beautiful Madness, from Vth Season, the label that had released and held them since their original release, for an undisclosed sum. The company briefly partnered with Universal Music Africa in December 2017 on artist development for other acts on Tresor’s roster, a development-support arrangement rather than a rights or equity deal.
