Nigerian dancer and singer Iweh Pascal Odinaka, known as Poco Lee, is due to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court in London, United Kingdom, on assault charges, with a plea and trial preparation hearing listed for September 15, 2026. His management has asked the public not to draw conclusions while the case is before the court.

The court confirmed the case after an inquiry into an alleged sexual assault involving the entertainer, but the specific reason for his arrest has not been publicly disclosed.
In a statement issued on August 25, Poco Lee’s management and legal team said the case was subject to legal proceedings and urged the public and media to exercise restraint. The team said allegations are not evidence of guilt and no conclusions should be drawn until the matter has been heard and determined through the appropriate legal process.
It also addressed claims circulating online about “drink spiking”, saying such narratives were unverified and did not form part of the allegations or charges before the court. The management asked the media and public to desist from introducing details that are not part of the actual case, warning that doing so could fuel misinformation and cause unfair prejudice to all parties involved.
“Every individual is entitled to a fair hearing and to have their matter determined by due process of law, not by public opinion,” the team said.
Support from Burna Boy and TG Omori#
Grammy Award winner Burna Boy said on his Instagram story that Poco Lee contacted him to inform him about his arrest and that he immediately began reaching out to his contacts in the UK. Burna Boy, who said he was in the UK, described the situation as distressing and said the matter was under active investigation.
Based on the information available to him, he said he believed Poco Lee was innocent and did not commit the alleged offence. He also said he was working towards securing Poco Lee’s release and was committed to seeing the matter through to its conclusion.
Nigerian filmmaker and music video director ThankGod Omori Jesam, known as TG Omori, also expressed support in a post on X.
“It breaks my heart to hear Poco Lee in this sort of mess. That’s the purest soul I have ever met. The devil really works overtime,” he said.
The case has generated significant discussion on social media, with users reacting to the allegations, the management’s statement and the public support from Burna Boy and other entertainment figures. Poco Lee’s management said it would provide further updates through official channels as appropriate, while asking the public to allow the legal process to take its course.
