South Africa’s Gauteng Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation has opened applications for its 2026 Music Production Incubation Programme, aimed at aspiring artists, music producers and songwriters in the province.

Applications close on 28 August 2026 at 4pm.

The 10-day programme is designed to build technical, creative and professional skills in music production and artist development. Participants who complete it will receive an accredited Level 4 MICT (Media, Information and Communication Technologies) Sound Technology certificate.

Sessions will run Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm.

Applicants must complete all sections of the application accurately. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
