Giran Republic is a Nigerian record label founded in February 2025 by Lagos artist Asake (Ololade Ahmed) following his exit from YBNL Nation. His debut single under the new imprint, “Why Love,” was released on 12 February 2025 carrying a standalone Giran Republic phonogram credit.

The label is independent and artist-owned. From January 2026, releases have carried a joint Giran Republic / EMPIRE phonogram credit, indicating a distribution arrangement with the US independent distributor, though no formal joint-venture terms have been made public. The label’s own website is a placeholder “Launching Soon” page as of this writing.

Giran Republic exists to house Asake’s own catalogue outside his former label. It has not yet been reported to have signed other artists.
