South African rapper Kane Keid has released NOTE2SELF, a four-track EP featuring Issi and Shannon, ahead of his debut album Son of SOiL.

Kane Keid Drops New EP “NOTE2SELF”

South African rapper South African rapper Kane Keid has released a new four-track EP, NOTE2SELF, adding to a busy 2026 release schedule as he builds toward his forthcoming debut album, Son of SOiL.

The project arrives shortly after his latest single, “Lelo,” and features collaborations with Issi and Shannon. It runs for just over 10 minutes.

NOTE2SELF tracklist#

  • How U Doing?
  • New Body featuring Issi
  • XXL
  • Note 2 Self featuring Shannon

NOTE2SELF follows a series of releases that have expanded Keid’s catalogue. In 2025, the rapper released NOT FAMOUS, a nine-track project that included songs such as Tested, Can’t Decide, Trouble Again, Leap of Faith, Homecoming (4U), Hurt Myself and Rare. Later that year, he followed it with Call U Back When I Make It, an 11-track project featuring collaborations with Issi, LaCabra and Horid The Messiah.

His 2026 run has included Lelo, as well as collaborations and appearances connected to releases such as Wave’a with Issi and Goliwood Living with Andy Maveric and Yonda Way. These releases have placed Keid among the South African artists continuing to build toward larger projects during the year.

Debut album rollout#

NOTE2SELF forms part of the wider rollout toward Keid’s upcoming debut album, Son of SOiL. The album was announced for 2026, with the rollout beginning earlier in the year through SON OF SOiL (RESET). The release introduced the album title and established the project as the next major body of work in his catalogue.

The new EP arrives between the singles and collaborations that have shaped Keid’s 2026 output and the anticipated release of Son of SOiL. With NOTE2SELF now available, the rapper continues to add to the material surrounding his debut album campaign while keeping his release schedule active.
