Content Connect Africa

Johannesburg-based content aggregator and rights administrator, 45% owned by Gallo Music Investments, with operations in Nigeria, Ghana and Uganda.

Based in
Johannesburg, South Africa

Content Connect Africa (CCA) is a Johannesburg-based content aggregator and rights administrator, distributing African music and entertainment content to mobile operators and digital platforms and providing publishing services and royalty collection for songwriters and composers. It operates under the CCA banner in South Africa and through named units in other markets, including Content Connect International in Nigeria, CCG in Ghana and a presence in Uganda.

Gallo Music Investments, the Arena Holdings-owned successor to Gallo Music Group in which DJ Black Coffee holds a minority stake, bought a 45% equity stake in CCA in a deal that closed in September 2021, pairing GMI’s catalogue with CCA’s distribution infrastructure. CCA has also run a publishing-services partnership with Sony/ATV Music Publishing South Africa (now Sony Music Publishing) since 2020, through which Sony provides publishing administration to CCA’s roster of composers.

Antos Stella is managing director.
