SOL Distro is a music distribution and artist-services platform launched in August 2025 by Slikour OnLife, the South African hip-hop media and artist-development brand founded by former Skwatta Kamp rapper Siya “Slikour” Metane. Artists distribute to more than 33 platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, TikTok and Boomplay, while keeping full ownership of their masters and royalties.
Beyond distribution, the platform bundles services aimed specifically at independent artists who lack label backing: recording studio access, music video production, PR and editorial placement, brand-partnership opportunities and an analytics dashboard. Neo Mkatini serves as Head of Distro. In 2026, SOL Distro added a publishing-administration layer through a partnership with Downtown Music Publishing Africa, covering global royalty collection, copyright registration and neighbouring-rights management for artists on the platform.
SOL Distro is not a separate company but a product line of Slikour OnLife, which has run South Africa’s best-known independent hip-hop platform since before streaming reshaped the market, with a claimed base of over 160,000 registered artists.
