25K’s “Hustler’s Prayer” With A-Reece Goes Platinum in South Africa

South African rapper 25K confirms platinum certification for his 2021 track “Hustler’s Prayer” featuring A-Reece.

25K Celebrates His 2021 Track “Hustler’s Prayer” Featuring A-Reece Reaching Platinum Status

South African rapper 25K has confirmed that his 2021 single “Hustler’s Prayer” featuring A-Reece has been certified platinum, five years after its release. The Pretoria-based artist announced the milestone on X, adding a platinum plaque to the track’s earlier gold certification from 2022.

Certification history

“Hustler’s Prayer” was first certified gold in 2022. In April that year, 25K announced the achievement after performing the record with A-Reece at Cotton Fest. A month later, A-Reece publicly thanked listeners for supporting the song, and Zoocci Coke Dope also acknowledged the gold milestone. The pair later performed the song on YFM following a plaque presentation there.

Album background

The track appears on Pheli Makaveli, 25K’s debut studio album, released on July 23, 2021. The project arrived after 25K signed with Sony Music Entertainment Africa and was curated by Zoocci Coke Dope. Other songs from the album include:

  • “Pheli Makaveli (Intro)”
  • “Trap Jumpin’”
  • “Self Made” featuring Emtee

The album also includes other tracks from the same recording period.

Latest milestone

The platinum certification places the collaboration among the latest milestones attached to 25K’s catalogue. It follows the fifth anniversary of Pheli Makaveli, marked in July. The certification connects the 2021 album track to 25K’s more recent career developments. For A-Reece, the record remains one of his collaborations with 25K, and the update adds another certification to a song from the project.
