Garvicii has released “Shalewa”, his first single of 2026 and his first release since the 2025 EP “Heartless”. The singer from Warri, Nigeria, moves from the vulnerability of heartbreak to a more playful, flirtatious register on the track.
The release follows a period of live performance that included the Soundcity tour, where Garvicii brought his catalogue to audiences and worked on turning recorded songs into live moments.
On “Shalewa,” Garvicii sings directly to a woman who has his attention. The opening refrain sets the tone:
“Sare wa gba gba, Shalewa / Make I clear you the artillery,”
The line works as both a proposition and a declaration.
Beneath the playful tone, the lyrics suggest he is not looking for a brief encounter: he wants to take Shalewa home to meet his parents and says he will propose marriage when the opportunity comes.
