Dapper Music & Entertainment is the record label of Dapper Group, the Lagos entertainment company founded by Damilola “Dapper” Akinwunmi in 2018. It signs and manages artists working in Afrobeats, street-pop and amapiano, with Kelechi “Chopper” Akwari heading its A&R operation.
The label is independent, owned by Dapper Group. It has at various points carried Shallipopi, Seyi Vibez, T.I Blaze, Balloranking and BhadBoi OML, though its roster has been in flux: T.I Blaze, Seyi Vibez and Shallipopi each publicly departed and disputed the label’s contract terms between mid and late 2024, allegations Akinwunmi has denied.
