Suno Removes ACRCloud From Latest Industry Update
Suno removed ACRCloud from the final version of its August 6 industry update while stating the partnership had not changed.
Suno omitted ACRCloud from the final version of an industry update sent on August 6, even as the AI music company said its relationship with the audio recognition provider had not changed.
The update, titled “How We’re Building the Future of Music Responsibly,” named Audible Magic and Musixmatch as song identification partners. An earlier draft had also listed ACRCloud, but that reference was absent from the version distributed minutes later.
Asked about the discrepancy, Suno said the partnership remained in place despite the change in the announcement. ACRCloud’s website lists numerous partners.
Suno works with three detection systems, but only two are named in the final update. The company faces multiple copyright lawsuits and has outlined several measures it says are intended to support a healthy music ecosystem.

Suno said it expects to introduce additional changes in the coming weeks, including new audio watermarking and fingerprinting technology. The company said those tools will allow it to “partner more closely with distribution platforms on combating fraud and misuse.”
Suno is seeking additional licensing agreements beyond Warner Music Group.
