South African producer MÖRDA has released Asante IV, the fourth instalment in his Asante album series. The 19-track project, out on July 31, 2026, combines Afro-house, electronic music, soulful melodies and layered African rhythms.
The album continues the arc of the earlier Asante releases while reflecting MÖRDA’s development as a producer, composer and collaborator. It moves between dancefloor-focused tracks and more reflective material, aimed at clubs, festival stages and home listening.

Career milestones
MÖRDA has won multiple South African Music Awards and received a Grammy nomination and NAACP Image Award recognition for his contribution to The Color Purple soundtrack. His catalogue includes the double-platinum-certified Asante and gold-certified Moya Wa Taola.
He has also performed an NPR Tiny Desk Concert, received multiple Metro FM Music Award nominations, and was named a GQ South Africa Editor’s Choice Best Dressed honouree.
