Sociedade Mocambicana de Autores (SOMAS) is Mozambique’s authors’ society, representing creators across music, literature, theatre, dance and audiovisual production. It is based at Rua de Tchamba 86 in Maputo.
SOMAS defends and collectively manages the rights of its members, a remit that covers Mozambican musicians alongside writers, choreographers and other creative professionals rather than music rights alone. It maintains its own web presence at a WordPress-hosted site rather than a dedicated corporate domain.
